Qualifications

Must have at least 3+ years' experience as a Telecommunications Engineer with hands on experience in systems design, support and monitoring in an enterprise environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, Network VOIP monitoring applications, Cisco IOS, Cisco applications, Windows Server OS, Telephony integrated applications and strong competency in IP communications. Preferred: CCNA Voice, CCNP Voice certifications.

Aegis Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to design, develop, and maintain digital control for power electronics hardware. Come join our growing team in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina!

The Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring firmware programming meets customer demands and internal development projects. This position works closely with our electrical engineers who design AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC converters and inverters using a variety of power topologies. Candidate must have a programming background using microcontrollers for use in communications protocols including TCP ModBus, CANBus 2.0, UART, and others. The best candidate will be detail oriented, focused on quality and precision, and willing to share his/her skills in a team environment to yield competitive and accurate results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new programming for C++, CANBus 2.0, UART, I2C, TCP ModBus, and others
  • Manage projects in an efficient and cohesive way, using our ISO9001:2015 / AS9100:2016 process
  • Analyze problems to troubleshoot issues
  • Manage software feature release schedules
  • Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of latest embedded trends
  • Collaborate with team on overall power electronics hardware design
  • Create technical reports and presentations for team or customers
  • Ensure programming does not cause loss of signal integrity
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Strong familiarity with control theory and use in power conversion circuits with embedded microcontrollers
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Strong ability to understand engineering documents and schematics
  • Working knowledge of military, aviation, and telecom standards (vibration, shock, EMI, environmental, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products for use in day-to-day computing
  • Familiarity with PCAD or Altium
  • Working knowledge of electronics laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers, etc.)
  • Willingness to learn new communication protocols as needed

Minimum Education & Experience

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar technical field (may be waived with extensive direct work experience)
  • 3 years’ industry-related work history

Headquartered in beautiful Carlsbad, CA, with a secondary office in North Carolina (Sneads Ferry area), we are a full-service Design-Build company. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.

We are looking for a Construction Superintendent candidate to join our Field Operations team for an existing project at Fort Bragg, NC.

Superintendents are responsible for the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of all construction work activities, assigned employees, and subcontractors on a project job site, to safely produce quality work, within the project requirements (i.e., RFP, plans, specifications, and proposal documents) targeted budget, schedule, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. Candidates local to projects will be given priority, though relocation to on-site management may be required for the Superintendent position.

A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required for this position.
College courses or degree in construction management, engineering, etc. preferred.
Five or more years work experience in a Superintendent position (e.g., scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production of all phases in construction) on medium-sized projects (general contracting experience) is required with four or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in the construction industry required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred. Work in the design-build industry and on large-sized projects is preferred.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) preferred.
CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications, EM-385, and STS required; Training can be provided.
Spanish-English bilingual skills desirable.
LEED GA/AP Credential desirable

Role requires a technical network visibility SME to perform analysis for Local and wide area networks. Previous work experience with using Netscout network products.
